Z1 tunes are great. Look at enthalpy aswell I would go with whoever is closer between the two. I got a z1 tune after intakes/catback and I had no issues with it, have them doing the tune now whenever I finish the Supercharger install as well. I have a tune from them and am completely happy with it.

tuning gets rid of the throttle lag. You can use a power converter like Sprint booster to up the voltage signal. I much prefer a good tune though. Tune for throttle application, flywheel for engine deceleration. Just know that you will have transmission chatter with a lighter flywheel.I cannot give info on a Z1 tune package for our Z34.
