Most of the beach people and evening walkers are Spanish. Fuengirola is nice when the sun shines, quieter than Benidorm. Entertainment in Fuengirola is very low key. Few places have a music licence and the police raid now and then. It's not too bad in an hotel, but even then much of the entertainment is below par. I like Fuengirola in the Summer, 3 euro on the train from the airport.

Just to add the local bus L1 is free. It goes from Corvajal to Miramar return via Fuengirola center.....you tell bus driver where you are going and take ticket when it pops up outa ticket machine.
