Using a voltmeter with a very rudimentary load tester, the Aux battery voltage measured at 12 but dropped almost instantly to 2 with the load applied. It is still under warranty, so it will go to the Jeep dealer when I get home. Pushing the pedal shows around 12-13+ volts, and releasing the pedal shows around 14.2 - 14.7 for me. Aug 20, 2021 · I just dropped my 2019 2.0T off at the dealer because the aux warning popped up and my ESS has been only lasting for 3-5 seconds at stop lights and turning back on. Battery voltage in the screen has been consistently between 13.6-14.1b I’ll keep y’all posted on what the dealer says over the next few days. Just do the 12v one you can see. After completing the part swap reconnect the battery and if the CEL is still there, clear it with the programmer of your choice. If they are asking people to mess with that big battery there is some serious concerns they should be considering. Fully charged battery should be 12.6 with engine off. If it's cranking over longer before it starts, the fuel pump is probably leaking down as it sits. Try turning the key to ON a few times without stating it.

BSG utilizes the standard starter motor for cold starts and the Belt Start Generator for s/s events, and has a 48v secondary battery located on the inside of the driver's side frame rail next to the rear driveshaft. Here's what I'd do. Leave everything as-is and park the Jeep after a long drive to insure the batteries are fully charged. Read the voltage of the battery. Then let it sit overnight. Read the voltage again and see how much it dropped. It shouldn't be much, no more than 0.1v. If it's more than that something is definitely draining the battery.It's called "regenerative braking".
