This is an interesting forum on which to find concern about flying with Chinese-built engines, given that many of our members have been content to fly with McCulloch drone engines, never "man-rated", designed to be launched once and then shot down, and infamous for quitting at any time.

Is there a real difference in day-to-day work/life in comparison? 2. I've heard that the duty stations for FW are less than desirable, is this true? 3. Are the promotion rates affected when going FW? 4.Both of them are to prevent corrosion. The number is the key. 8.8 shows U the tensile and yield strenght. 5.6 is very weak, 10.9 or more are too rigid,the 8.8 is commonly used in UL section. The process of corrosion prevent is not effect on the strenght of bolt. I have never seen a galvanized aircraft nut or bolt.

I know that "unsafe" is a subjective term. But lets say less safe than other kit helicopters like the Mosquito or Helicycle.The biggest difference between AN and either grade 5 or 8 is that AN bolts have superior corrosion resistance and shorter grip lengths. There are very few places on a gyro I can think of where the bolt strength would ever be an issue. The bolts holding the rotorblades on RAF hub bars is one of the few I can think of.Aug 2, 2008. #1.
