Structural will use Floors for everything (floors can have cut profiles), Arch Roof sits on top of the Struct Floor. Same for floors. Struct own the floor and Arch puts another on top for finishes.

The doubt is because I spend more time per detail in revit than in autocad. however, I admit that I meanwhile build my detail item library (2d) during the engineering. because I don't have any (revit) detail item in my library.Chief is probably the best when it comes to CAD Details and annotating them. But, I use it because for simple drawings, it is a good money maker. I have done pretty well with it over the years and have learned a lot of my own workarounds. Nothing is perfect, so I will continue to use it.

Thank you. My Material Library needs an overhaul. I have predefined some useful materials for quick use and quite a few don't rely on an image or seamless texture considering that these are not external or 'facing' materials. Before I embark on doing a better job and sorting out my current library are there any key things to consider?

If you want to miter 2 beams at a corner, simply select one of the beams and right click on the blue dot on the end. You'll see a command for "Edit Beam/Column Join". Select that.
