Look at where the PMC spawns are on the map, and assume that players are going to either rush your spawn, try to catch you leaving your spawn, or simply rush the mall. Then, look for a path from each spawn where you can avoid these players, or setup on them before they get in position on you.

No, dont need to witness, and you can tell if the ai are shooting at said scav. The ai always know. Used to be you could shoot a scav pre karma, and only that scavs group would know, so you could kill a scav in say oli, and only scavs in oli would shoot at you.
