So I've gone the entire day without playing Skyrim, spent 5 hours searching for solutions, and about to just give up. The story is Skyrim will launch off steam, then continue to play Bethesda's logo with nice sound, then suddenly as it disappears a dragon logo appears in the middle of the screen, sound stops, and Skyrim becomes unresponsive.
