Soft and stiff are probably not enough. Possibly a 3rd setting like "balanced" could be added to mimic the old soft so that folks can go back if they want. Ride comfort is very subjective so one person might appreciate an extra floaty and soft ride while another might not. The first change Rivian owners will notice is a completely redesigned drive mode screen. The new layout not only looks cleaner than the previous screen, but it includes much more information. Truth&Facts ...Kinetic Energy = 1/2 * Mass * Velocity Squared. The Velocity Squared part matters a lot at high Velocity, as it is not linear, but exponential. The faster you go, the bigger the bang. Rivian does not have a transmission. Top speed is limited by motor RPM, the fixed ratio reducing gear, and tire diameter. I think the info about tire/wheels might be useful. It wouldn't surprise me if Rivian is tuning the suspension parameters based on what wheels/tires are installed. Even if they aren't, the effect of these changes might be different on different sets. It is even possible that a change that improved handling on 20's would be detrimental on 22's.
