The game is about what GM and players imagine. If you played pathfinder both 1e and 2e only for combat - I'm sorry for you missing the big part of the fun. But don't say the class is awful just for being weak in one aspect of the game. The combat isn't everything. Though investigator can be very useful in it by indirect support.

The best way to run a vigilante is to not play them. Not only do they break the unsaid rules of alignment (By somehow having TWO OF THEM) but they aren't really unique in their own right.
