Factory lowered. I have a 2017 R1200GSA, and I have the factory lowered suspension and love it. I can now sit on the bike and put both feet flat on the ground with my 28" inseam. I wasn't even able to do that with an RT from 2008 on. The front and rear shocks are shorter, as is the side stand.
Mar 20, 2019 · Strange R1250GS engine noise. I have noticed that my new R1250GS has a strange and unexpected engine noise. It occurs when the engine is under load at all speeds and all gears. I had a 2004 R1150R that had a large amount of engine vibration while traveling at 75-80 mph. So bad that the mirrors were useless. My 2005 R1200GS had almost no noticeable vibration at any speed. Could not be happier with the bike, and would definitely buy again. In addition, if I could only own one bike, the GS definitely would be it.
