I mainly keep the people I like in my party, regardless of class. I have auto level up for them to get a feeling for "what they would do" role play wise. I only change my party for companion quests of companions I do not have with me. My party composition because of that is sorcerer, witch, oracle, wizard, paladin and ranger.
