On a friendly challenge from a noted Browning collector, he perfectly duplicated Felix Funken's "Smiling Dog" on the rear of the receiver on the 16 gauge. Attached photo shows an original example of Funken's work; unfortunately J J recently sold both guns so I have no comparison photo of his work, but I can tell you it was good!My dogs are a bit different.
