To turn off RAB there are two different icons and for some reason people tend to press the icon than turns off the warning but not the icon that turns off the braking. The warning icon is on the bottom right and the braking icon is on the bottom left of the reverse screen.I could see it being useful backing out of a busy parking lot at a mall or something but the cameras offer a decent view already. Either way, you should check mirrors, blind spots and the camera when reversing no matter what.
