Average age here seems to be about 14, which is fine, but 10 threads a day asking questions covered in the FAQ gets tedious. On the one hand, I like TB because there are some working bass players on there, which is what I am. But so many of them seem to be clueless, at an age and experience level where it's inexcusable.

In the 70’s a bunch of studio players pooled their money to put an Ampeg B15 in each of the major studios that they would all use when tracking there. I can’t remember the name of that group though. So I would guess the “east coast” sound is the NYC sound, an Ampeg B15.

It's more than just a delay, and I personally hate Line 6 but I tell people to try that pedal. Yes it's digital as all hell but dude it works well on bass. It works DAMN well. The Benson Germanium Boost isn’t exactly the greatest boost pedal. While other brands, such as TC Electronic, MXR and Keeley, offer boosts of upwards to 30 db, the Benson boasts a modest eight db. What it is is a phenomenal always-on pedal to add some vintage germanium warmth to your tone without the downsides of past germanium pedals.

The pickups/bass overall sounds awesome. Apparently they are custom spec'd Seymour Duncans. Sounds like a P bass but bit more focused (exactly like how JMJ described it). The bass came with a good quality padded Fender gig bag and not some cheap thin garbage lol. Totally usable for pro gigging.

The Boss was cleaner, obviously, but there was an inherent scoop to the sound with an emphasis on a full and punchy, yet somewhat undefined low bass frequency, and an upper treble grind.The Agro is one of my favorite pedals. I used it to replace a VT Bass pedal that I just couldn't get to settle in despite many attempts. The Agro is way more versatile and useable IMHO thanks to the very easy but poweful Contour and Presence knobs.
