The project was completed in 2009. Work is expected to begin sometime after 2010 to rebuild the Southern State Parkway in the area of the Meadowbrook State Parkway interchange. These improvements, which are expected to cost $69 million, should help improve traffic flow and enhance safety on both parkways.
