Do NOT get discouraged by this subreddit or SDN. I've seen some people expressing that this sub and SDN have been kinda discouraging. I felt the exact same way and thus wanted to provide a little bit of advice. R/premed and SDN are extremely useful when you're getting tips, learning different ECs to do, how to strengthen your app etc. While the site provides a lot of great information, the premed forum especially contains a lot of cutthroat negativity that could really hurt your self-esteem as a premed. You can do ChemE and train to be a ChemE (do your co-op, join relevant ECs like AIChE, etc.).
I feel like here on r/premed, people are generally trying to help their fellow applicants, while on SDN people are either trying to show off or tear others down. Lmao. I would recommend starting with your school's prereqs.
