transmute terrain simply moves necrofire. you can usually swap an area. it's only 1 AP and the advantage is instead of you taking a little damage, you can swap it to an enemy and instead they will take a little damage. throw dust will get rid of most surfaces. including lava and necrofire. throw dust can blind, so be careful with friendlies.
