With stocks, there are day trading rules that require a trader to maintain minimum account balance of $25,000 which can be a high bar for new traders. Futures do not have a day trading capital requirement. So I use Ninjatrader as preferred connection for index. But preferred connections for Futures Data NQ also has to be Ninjatrader since my Dataprovider is APEX/Tradovate which is the same as Ninjatrader. There is no preferred connection Apex I could use.
