Lightweight and .50bmg is a very careful marriage. Find a cheap A2 stock and add some lead weight to the cleaning kit cavity and give it a try. Every pound on the rifle will reduce the percieved recoil. If this is a carry gun/woods gun then "dealing" with the recoil/muzzle blast is the reality of it.
