Having known personally about thefts from the previous generation, I can't find any evidence that the new Niro has improved anti theft tech. Keys didn't sleep when tested (although I haven't tried 30 mins as above) and Kia dealers apparently give away faraday pouches to direct consumer orders which suggest it's still vulnerable.
