If you were just looking for something comparable to a 57, or just using it to mic a guitar rig, it would be hard to justify the extra money for the 900 series.

57. I’d go with a 57 then later get a e906 if you really want. It has sound between the 57 and e609 in my experience and opinion. The e609 is nice because you can hang it over the amp.
