On gp100 357. I just bought a gp100 357 im wanting to put a scope on it but id rather not drill it i dont trust a gunsmith to not ruin my awesome gun. Id like to scope it with a magnifying scope using the weigatinny no drill mount. Im worried it will allow the scope to move and wont stay dialed in properly.
There is one company that makes scope mounts (actually red dot sight mounts) for the Ruger SP-101, Allchin Gun Parts. They make a mount that fits the adjustable sight models of the SP-101 (the 4.2 inch SP-101 models). It completely replaces the rear sight which keeps nice and low to the bore line. This mount requires an adapter plate to use the RMR sight but it is very thin.
