The engine was replaced with a new GM crate engine 60k miles ago and at that time it had a new turbo and injector pump installed too. All this was done through a GM dealer.16,098 POSTS. No, that is secondary wire not primary. Small black wire. Use a testlite and see if lite pulses. That wire in the center of cap is coil wire, you can take it loose from cap, hold close to engine ground, cranking, watch for spark to jump.
