When selecting the Vulkan API, the FPS is pretty good but you get these graphical artifacts everywhere. OpenGL is there and it does fix it but it comes at the cost of a fucked up framerate. Also no this isn't a device issue. Played a ton of Resident Evil 4 (2023) and Forza Horizon 5 just fine.Expect to see TOTK running very well on midrange PCs relatively quickly. I emulate switch for the resolution upscaling. I own all 1st party Switch games though the eshop, I emulate for a better experience. Even BOTW on Yuzu with reshade tinkering makes it looks like a next gen game compared to the Switch. It really runs like shit on the switch.

So it looks worse than native 720p/1080p games. If you use Yuzu emulator's 2x resolution, the game was up-scaled twice to 2K/4K, which looks as bad as its original resolution.

Totk is a tough one but the other games runs really well, botw, mario odyssey, mario kart etc. For totk not sure if you tried all these mods, installed it with dynamic fps, fps 30, and some visual glitch patches and it was running okish in the tuto area but i stopped playing it. General. Hey i have a good tip for all who want to have a fluid Gameplay without Stuttering and bad Framepacing. Switch your Monitor Refreshrate to 50Hz. If your Monitor couldnt do that, use Custom Resolution Tool (CRU) and make a Custom Refresh Rate. If you dont know how, search for a tutorial, its easy and Safe! After that set 50Hz in NVidia CP.SteamDeck performance is a bit more wanting, but according to reports ive seen it seems roughly inline with the native switch under yuzu. It's running great! On a ryzen 7 3600x, 16gb ram, 3060ti I run it with the update 1.1.0 and the vulcan fixV2 and pre loaded shaders of the full map which is around 35000ish shaders.Yuzu doesn't use all your cores. What matters is the single thread performance rating. Your STR is 2664. For more demanding games like TOTK there isn't much you can do to improve performance. You can try lowering the resolution. I can then play up to the punt where the cutscene comes up where Link loses his heart. But I only get a black screen. The sound and subtitles are running and the hearts are being deducted.
