This is the little nubby spring loaded tabs used when stripping. Installed on the 27 no problem, but when I replaced on the 30sf the slide would not retain on the lower. That made a difference. Never shot a 21 so I can't comment but the 30SF is a very good pistol. I'm thinking a 21 feels real close to a 30sf after you add the Pearce to the 30. I like shooting the 45c better, but the G36 carries better for me. The G30 I did not really like, way to thick to carry and if it's too thick to carry, then I would rather have a gun with a longer gun grip.The 30SF/36 hybrid is dimensionally almost identical to the G19, and it actually fits perfectly in the same Crossbreed holster. If you were to take the G19 and throw on a slide that was as blocky as the standard G30 slide, trust me, you'd definitely notice a difference (at least most of us would).

The width difference is not much a G30 is 1.28 inches and a G36 is 1.10 inches. With a G30 having 10+1 verse 6+1 plus with a G30 my spare mag is a 13 round G21 mag. You can only use a G36 mag in a G36. My BUG Bag I carry a few 27 round mags that work flawless in my G30 also.
