Chevy malibu cranks but wont start.

2011 Chev 2500 LML 86k miles Deleted in 2015. Running great until last week.. went to start and all crank no start. no DIC errors. Here's what I've done so far: Research on this site lol. Added 5 gal of diesel to tank (even though I'm at 40% full on the gauge) Swapped my FASS fuel/water filters. Primed stock fuel filter before and during cranking.SOURCE: engine cranks but won't start. If it is a mechanical fuel pump on the engine, remove the hose that goes into the carburator. Code is for rich condition. Flood on cold start could be do to a faulty engine temperature sensor. You need to see what temp. ECT sensor is reading on a cold start via scan tool. Check inlet temp. also. PCM adjusts fuel richer for colder temps. so if PCM see's colder than what it actually is it could flood motor.It is a 2008 Chevy Cobalt 2.2L with 199K. I've owned it since about 70K and it has always had its routine maintenance. The night before the issue, I filled up the gas, drove it to work the next day, no issues. When leaving work it cranked but will not start. The battery is good after testing (charge, CCA etc)I have had this 2006 Malibu for years and years and years and I have never had any problems with the car. Probably the best running car I've ever had. However, recently, about a month, maybe a month and a half ago, my car all of a sudden just wouldn't turn over. I kept trying it over and over and it started eventually.

Two more "basics" besides checking compression and that there is spark: 1) Disable fueling, so it can't possibly be flooded, by pulling the fuse for injectors; then try starting fluid. 2) Check spark timing with a strobe light. Check more than just the #1 cylinder, I suggest doing all eight if there is a problem.
