It is active on steam, though it may be difficult to find a game at certain time slots (notably afternoon in eastern US). I have a lot of fun in online play even though it's laggy sometimes. There are some people who play the game that are really good at the game so it'll be hard to contend with them but once you get into it, it's a lot of fun ...

I have to play on Oregon's server for games and depending on the time of day it can be a bit dead for some modes. Sadly I have to play with 130+ ping every day.
